TVN Tip of the Week July 16, 2007

Never stop marketing. There is a tendency among human beings to sit back and take it easy when they think they have "enough". When you feel that your client list is full, do you stop marketing? Have you considered the inevitable "churn" that you will experience of clients who move on for whatever reason and the fact that you will need to replace them? Keep your name out there. Continue to participate in the VA world at large - even though you don't really "need" to. Opportunities may come your way that are even better than the ones you have now.

TVN Tip of the Week July 9, 2007

Find your niche! A growing trend in the virtual business world is to target your business toward a certain segment of the market. While this has always been the case in advertising - the new opportunities afforded by the virtual world make this more important and easier than ever. Want to work with writers or authors? Coaches? Pet experts or herbalists? All of these groups have online communities. Find out where the "hang out" online and become a part of their community. Offer your advice and become known for your business knowledge. It will only be a matter of time before you convert those contacts into clients.

TVN Tip of the Week July 3, 2007

Get all of your business forms letter perfect and keep them that way. Nothing screams unprofessional like a contract with a typo or the wrong client name! Triple check everything. The best way to make sure your forms are in top shape is to work on them when you aren't busy. Take your time. Familiarize yourself with every detail. Then save them. All future forms should be built off of your original.
