Consider that there are bound to be things you don't do well, or that you can do, but simply don't enjoy and don't want to do, and you'll quickly see gaps appear in your services. Believe it or not, that's ok; it doesn't matter that YOU can't do it all, if you can get it all done. And you can get it all done, if you fill your gaps with fabulous resources and a great team.

Team Power
I have met incredible business people who I now work with on a regular basis and who work for my clients when I require a particular talent or skill. Joining organizations and peer groups within the industry is one of the best networking moves a VA can make. Organizations like The Virtual Nation and IVAA are there to help all of us in our VA practices.

Backup as you move forward
Recently asked my opinion about backup systems I had to say that, overall, I think that if you have an online backup system, you are way ahead of so many others who don't. Your clients will also be relieved to know you are backing up their data. I use Carbonite and recommend it to all of my team.

If you’re not using Macromedia Dreamweaver to edit your html then you should definitely look into it. It’s my favorite and it’s a great all-around design/editing program. There are several online ways to learn the program too. http://www.learnthat.com/computers/learn-362-dreamweaver_mx_2004.htm has a free tutorial that will take you through most of the steps you need to start using “the leading webpage design software”. Women on the Move Conference Sept 28th in Sacramento
Women on the Move Presents…
Sharon Lechter, co-author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”
Garrett Sutton, Best Selling Author, Speaker and Rich Dad Advisor
Stephanie Chandler, author of “From Entrepreneur to Infopreneur”
Kathleen Ronald, “Queen of Networking”
Friday, September 28, 2007 starting at 5:30 pm, ending at 8:00 pm
Saturday, September 29, 2007 starting at 8:00 am, ending at 5:00 pm
Who Should Attend? Women interested in real estate investing, improving health and wellness, asset protection, information marketing, business on the internet, the importance of networking and much more.
“We’re excited with the caliber and expertise of the professionals who make up the program,” said Lisa Marston, Women On The Move founder and CEO of The Foresthill Group, Inc.
This two-day conference brings some of the top national speakers to Sacramento. While participants learn to improve both themselves and their net worth, Women on the Move is also launching Women Build.
Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity International Program that encourages women and girls to have fun and make a difference by building homes in their communities. Nearly 1,000 Habitat homes have been built by women crews around the world. Each year 150 or more homes are added as affiliates, donors and sponsors discover the impact of women volunteers and their resources. Join Women on the Move as they launch Women Build in the Greater Sacramento area.
“We are grateful for the support that the Women On The Move conference will bring to our second Women Build project. The enthusiasm and excitement that this conference will generate will be invaluable in attracting the volunteer and financial resources needed to build this home,” said Ken Cross, CEO of Sacramento Habitat for Humanity.
Women On The Move features an impressive lineup of speakers, including keynote speaker Sharon Lechter, co-author of the Rich Dad Poor Dad series, and a dynamic international speaker who focuses on entrepreneurial business strategies and financial literacy.
Other speakers include:
Garrett Sutton, host of WealthDNA’s Wealth Talk American Radio Network will present “How to Structure Your Business in Order to Shield Your Assets.” According to Sutton, “We live in the most litigious society on earth. You have worked hard to build your assets; in this environment, it is prudent to protect them.” G will explain how to use LLCs, LPs, and corporations to minimize your personal exposure liability and shield your valuable business, real estate, and investment assets.
Stephanie Chandler, small business expert and author of From Entrepreneur to Infopreneur will illustrate “The Power of Information Marketing” and help you discover how you can use information products (ebooks, special reports, booklets, teleseminars, and more) to market your business and generate new revenue streams for your business.
Kathleen Ronald, founder of Speaktacular and also known by many as the “Queen of Networking.” Kathleen shares how to “Grow Your Net Worth by Growing Your Network.” In a world where trust matters, personal relationships really do count, and word of mouth is the principal method of attracting new business, you will learn how to develop and nurture a strong network of contacts. Kathleen’s secrets will move you from “Mediocrity to Mastery.”
“The businesswomen attending this conference will all receive practical, take-home information which will be useful regardless of where they may be in their professional and personal lives,” said Marston.
About Women on the Move and the Vision Behind it
Lisa Marston has worked a variety of fields, but had not found anything that excited her, i.e., made her want to get up in the morning. About 10 years ago she read Rich Dad Poor Dad and started learning about real estate investing. She had finally found her passion and started investing in real estate. A few years ago she started The Foresthill Group, Inc. and the mission of the company is to offer a complete real estate investor package. They are committed to finding ideal opportunities for the investor and making the process as simple as possible.
Growing up Lisa’s Mother taught her about service organizations and how important it was to give back to your community and help others. Lisa was always supported in whatever she wanted to take on and there was never a mention of certain things being “female” or something “women didn't do”. With that in mind Lisa mentioned to mother about putting on an event that was truly about educating women. According to Lisa, “I was so excited that she wanted to join me in putting on this conference, she brought great ideas and enthusiasm, which will help make this a successful event.”
Judy Marston realized, “what a great opportunity I’ve been handed to work with my daughter on this incredible idea.” Judy spent many years in the corporate world learning the challenges of running a business and working with diverse groups of people. From that knowledge she started her own company, Singular Focus, doing qualitative market research, strategic planning, outcome evaluation and facilitated problem solving. Throughout her working life she was committed to helping other women by belonging to service organizations that focus on getting women out of poverty to becoming self-sufficient and successful. Judy expressed, “This Conference offers women so much practical information presented by successful entrepreneurial individuals that I can’t wait for all of you to be a part of this event.”
Lisa Marston and her mother, Judy Marston, have a message to all women in the Greater Sacramento area, "Women on the Move: Live, Learn, Inspire", is our way of offering women practical and useful information to assist them in being self-reliant and successful in their lives.”
